Overcoming Cat Poisoning Amitraz

Amitraz is a chemical substance that is used as a prevention and treatment of lice, parasitic infections such as scabies or ringworm in pets such as cats and dogs. Amitraz in the implementation of the treatment of lice or scabies can be done by immersion (dips) or only topically on the skin only.
Amitraz drug poisoning is common in dogs than cats. However amitraz poisoning in cats is considered very dangerous because it can lead to death in cats. When viewed on a case-by-case of this amitraz poisoning, usually it was an abuse of dog products on cats. 
Clinical symptoms that occur in cats amitraz poisoning are as follows:

• Low body temperature cats
• Cats have vomiting
• The cat has diarrhea
• An increase in urination
• Cats death

Amitraz poisoning can result from ingestion or exposure to products containing Amitraz. Amitraz poisoning can occur in cats when products containing Amitraz used dogs to cats or when the cat is in contact with the dog being treated Amitraz Amitraz and drugs still exists in the skin or in the fur of the dog then attached to the cat.

Amitraz way Poisoning Treatment
If Amitraz is on the skin and fur, the fur of cats should be bathed or washed with detergent washing dishes or shampoo, it is useful to eliminate the remnants of amitraz in the hair or skin a cat, and then, then rinsed clean cat hair with warm water.
Supportive therapy such as intravenous fluid infusion, maintenance of body temperature and nutritional support is indispensable for the treatment of amitraz poisoning. For that cats should be closely monitored.
The use of hydrogen peroxide can be used to induce vomiting and cleaning Amitraz remaining in the stomach of cats. Then use Activated charcoal may also be used to help prevent further absorption of Amitraz in the stomach or in the gastrointestinal tract of cats.
Other drugs that are sometimes used to handle and treat amitraz poisoning is yohimbine and atipamezole.
